Bangladesh beat Ireland by 4-1 goals in the Special Olympics Summer World Games Football now being held in Los Angeles, USA on Tuesday.
Bangladeshi swimmer Munni Akter clinched the bronze medal in the women’s 50-metre freestyle of the Games at the same venue, according to a message received here from Head of Bangladesh Delegation Farukul Islam

Earlier on Monday, Bangladeshi swimmer Parul Akter clinched the gold medal in the women’s 100-metre freestyle.
Another Bangladeshi swimmer Mohammad Shahin won the silver medal in the men’s 25-meter back stroke while Arif Arman Rohan and Munni Akter took the bronze medals in the women’s 50-meter breaststroke and 25-meter breaststroke on Monday.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Community in Los Angeles in associated with Friends Club of Los Angels accorded a reception to 80-member Bangladesh contingent at a local hotel.
