Bangladesh National Football team beat Cambodia National team by a solitary goal in their FIFA international friendly match in Cambodia on Saturday.
After a barren first half, Robiul Hasan of Bangladesh scored the all-important goal in the 82nd minute of the play.
Robiul Hasan could make it 2-0 but he failed to defeat the Cambodian goalie though Robiul got the Cambodian custodian alone just five minutes before the long whistle.
Bangladesh’s FIFA ranking is 192, while their counterpart Cambodia’s FIFA ranking is 172.
By virtue of yesterday’s victory, the FIFA ranking of Bangladesh will be increased.
Earlier, Bangladesh faced Cambodia for three times. In the year of 2006, Bangladesh defeated Cambodia by 2-1 goals in the AFC Challenge Cup, while Bangladesh made a 1-1 draw in the Nehru Cup in the year of 2007 and Bangladesh registered a lone-goal victory over Cambodia in a FIFA international friendly football in the year of 2009.
