Bangladesh Bank will pay surprise visits to different commercial bank’s branches to enhance better customer services and as a part of experiment already undertaken by the central bank.
The initiative has been taken following customer harassment and indiscipline in different branches of commercial banks.
In this regard a senior official of financial integrity and customer service division of Bangladesh Bank told BSS on Sunday that: “Receiving complaints from the customers we have conducted sudden experimental visits to different branches of the banks in the capital and after getting some indiscipline and harassment we decided to conduct the visits.”
Apart from improving the customer services, the bank officials would take precautionary steps regarding various indiscipline of the branches following the initiative taken by the central bank.
