A Bangladeshi delegation led by Mosud Mannan ndc, ambassador to Uzbekistan attended the ‘XI International Uzbek Cotton and Textile Fair’ held in Tashkent on Thursday.
There was a meeting with Ergashev Ibrohim Kenjabaevich, the first Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and the Trade of the republic of Uzbekistan, according to information received here on Friday.
During the meeting the delegation members mentioned that as one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of cotton, Uzbekistan is undoubtedly one of the leading participants in the world cotton market.
Bangladesh delegation laid emphasis on reopening of air service between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh for strengthening businesses between the two countries.
Deputy Minister Ergashev Ibrohim Kenjabaevich welcomed the participants and said that Bangladesh became the integral part of the Cotton Fair, which is held every year. Bangladesh is one of the big buyers of the Uzbek cotton, he said, adding that the embassy of Bangladesh in Uzbekistan played important role in this respect.
