The three-member Bangladesh Athletics team left Dhaka for Tokyo on Sunday to take part in the athletics competition of the Tokyo Olympics. Athlete Jahir Raihan will compete in the 400 metre sprint.
The members of Bangladesh Athletics team are: General Secretary of Bangladesh Athletics Federation Advocate Abdur Rakib Montu (Team Leader), Abdullah Hel-Kafi (Coach) and Jahir Raihan (Athlete).
The discipline of athletics of Tokyo Olympics will be held in Tokyo from August 1 to August 5.
Bangladesh Athletics team will return home on August 3 after Jahir Raihan taking part in the 400 metre sprint.
Meanwhile, swimmer Ariful Islam of Bangladesh will participate in the men’s 50 metre freestyle and his compatriot Junaina Ahmed will compete in the women’s 50m freestyle in Tokyo Olympics which is schedule to held on July 30.
