Bangladesh Army emerge as champions in National Shooting

Bangladesh Army shooters made their team proud as they emerged the champion trophy in National Shooting Competition 2016.
The competition was held in Gulshan Shooting range from August 24-31 with the participation of 35 shooting clubs of Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and shooting club of different formations, said an ISPR press release on Wednesday.
A total of 27 male and 10 female of Bangladesh Army participated in 23 events of the competition. Bangladesh Army became champion obtaining 11 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Bangladesh Army Shooting team also won the last national level championship trophy in 2015 achieving seven gold, six silver and five bronze medals.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the competition August 26 and the exciting meet concluded on August 31 while the deputy minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid was present as the chief guest.
