Bangladesh Ansar emerged as the champions of the Open National Traditional Wushu Championship bagging 24 gold medals while Chittagong District Sports Association became runners-up claiming seven gold medals on Saturday. The competition was held at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
Bangladesh Traditional Wushu Federation arranged the wushu meet with the assistance of Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation.
After the competition, Deputy-Director General of Bangladesh Ansar Mizanur Rahman distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while former president of Bangladesh Wushu Association Shamim Khan Tito and Director (Sports) of Bangladesh Ansar Nimai Kumar Das were present with him as special guests.
