Bangladesh played out to a 1-1 goals draw with Afghanistan in the FIFA Friendly International match held on Tuesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.Bangladesh took early lead in the 4th minute as Zahid Hasan Emily’s brilliant header from the danger zone found the net off a free kick of Mamunul Islam at the right flank (1-0).Bangladesh defender Nasirul Islam pushed a through pass, Winger Jewel Rana took an angular shot, Fardin fisted it for a corner in the 13th minute.In the 44 minute Jewel Rana curved a cross from the right flank, but Emily failed to head with Fardin fisting it.Afghanistan piled up pressure, five corners earned by their attackers.Afghanistan restored the parity in the injury time of the second half as Esmat Shanwary’s left footed drive from the top of the box beat Liton in the left hand post (1-1).Afghanistan piled up a lot of pressures in the finishing stage but Bangladesh kept their fort intact. But, in the injury time of the second half conceded the equalizer.Bangladesh never lost against Afghanistan in the last five encounters.
