Bangladesh A team closer to their victory target as they scored 43 for 1 in 15 overs at stumps to chase a paltry target of 104 set by Zimbabwe A in their second innings on the third day of first four-day held on Tuesday at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.
Bangladesh will be needed 61 more runs to win with nine wickets in hand on the last day with opener Liton Kumar and Marshal Ayub were on the crease with 27 and 10 runs respectively as the stumps were drawn for the day.
Thanks to Saqlain Sajib and Jubayer Hossain’s for their fierce bowling spells that demolished that Zimbabwe’s second innings at a paltry total of 108. Sajib caused the major damage for Zimbabwe taking six wickets for 50 runs.
He was well supported by Zubair who claimed four wickets conceding 18 runs.
Earlier, Bangladesh resumed their first innings on the third day (Tuesday) with overnight score of 162 for 3 and finally dismissed at 211 runs, taking a narrow five runs first innings lead.

2nd innings – 108 for all in 48.2 overs, Brian 23, Sibanda 19, Sajib 6/50 and Zubair 4/18. Bangladesh A 1st innings – 2011 for all in 120.4 overs, Liton 54, Rakibul 43, Sadman 40, Masakadza 6/63 and Tinotenda 4/38. 2nd innings – 43 for 1 in 15 overs, Liton 27 batting, Ayub 10 batting, Masakadza 1/27.
