Bangladesh a ‘Surprise of Development’: Tipu

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Tuesday said that Bangladesh is now a “Surprise of Development” in the world under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Commerce Minister said this while addressing a reunion of all the freedom fighters of Rangpur, marking the Golden Jubilee of country’s independence, held at the district school ground in Rangpur on Tuesday organized by the district administration.
Tipu said although Bangladesh was liberated from Pakistan 50 years back, but Pakistan is now lagging far behind than Bangladesh, said a ministry press release.
“Our foreign currency reserve has now crossed $48 billion. But, the reserve of Pakistan is now $24 billion. Pakistan is now lagging behind Bangladesh in all economic indicators,” he added.
The Commerce Minister mentioned that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had two goals — independence and economic freedom.
“Bangabandhu had awarded us independence, now his worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been delivering us economic freedom.”
