Sports Reporter :Bangladesh A team lost to India A team by 96 runs in the first one-dayer cricket match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, India on Wednesday.Chasing India A mammoth total of 322 for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs, Bangladesh A were bundled out for 226 off 42.3 overs.Bangladesh A faced a batting collapse losing early five wickets for 87 runs.Later, Liton Kumar Das and Nasir Hossain fought back contributing together 120 runs for the sixth wicket partnership. Liton Kumar Das hit a run-a-ball 75 featuring eight fours and two sixes while Nasir Hossain knocked an entertaining 52 off 71 balls including two fours and two sixes.Sabbir Rahman was the other batsman of Bangladesh A team who could make a notable score. He scored 25 from 31 balls with four shots beyond the ropes.Gurkeerat Singh of India A bowled extremely well and finished his superb spell as 7.3-0-29-5.S Aravind of India A grabbed three wickets at the cost of 29 runs while R Dhawan bagged a couple of wickets for 41 runs.Earlier, wicketkeeper-batsman of India A SV Samson hit a superb 73 from 76 balls featuring eight fours while Gurkeerat Singh smashed a splendid 65 off 58 balls including nine fours.R Dhawan remained undefeated with 56. His 34-ball innings was studded with eight fours and two sixers while opener MA Agarwal knocked a worthy 56 from 70 balls hitting eight fours.Nasir Hossain and Shafiul Islam bagged a pair of wickets each at the cost of 51 and 60 runs respectively.Besides, Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny took one wicket each conceding 46 and 57 runs respectively.Bangladesh A will take on India A in the second one-dayer at the same venue on September 18.
