Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in the 2nd and final Twenty20 International cricket match at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today. The match begins at 7.30 pm (Bangladesh Time). Channel 9 and Bangladesh Television will telecast the match live from the arena. It will be the last T20 I match for Captain of Bangladesh team (ODI and
T20 I) Mashrafe Bin Mortaza because Mashrafe announced that after today’s match he will retire from the T20 I cricket.
So, his teammates want to make the match memorable by earning a win against the islanders and dedicate the victory.
Bangladesh lost to Sri Lanka by six wickets in the first T20 I at the same venue on April 4.
Promising all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain said, ” There is no alternative but to win. We shall play the 2nd T20 I to present win to Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. We want to achieve victory and present it to him. After losing in the 1st T20 I, we cannot say we shall win the series. We have to win Thursday’s match and levelled the series.”
He said, ” We have show positive approach in the last T20 I match. We will be perform attacking cricket in the ensuing match. Our batsmen used to get rhythm and are getting runs. If our batsmen show consistency, we shall win the match.”
Kusal Perera’s renewed vigour enabled him to make a match-winning half-century in the first game, and now will look to blend that vigour with consistency.
