The night-long Bangla Kheyal Utsab enthralled the audience. Beginning from January 31 (5:30pm) the fifth edition of the festival continued till February 1 morning (8:45am). Like the previous years, the festival is sponsored by Ispahani Tea Ltd.
Channel i Director and Head of News Shykh Seraj, veteran music exponent and Chairman of Sangskriti Kendra Azad Rahman and senior manager (sales and distribution) of Ispahani Tea Ltd Md Harun was present at the inauguration of the festival.
Noted singers Dr Nashid Kamal, Dr Leena Taposi Khan, Anil Kumar Saha, Karim Shahabuddin, Dr Harunur Rashid and Selina Azad were also present on the occasion.
The singers who performed in the earlier editions of Bangla Kheyal Utsab also performed in this year’s festival.
About 145 artistes took part in the event, where 45 artistes performed solo and 100 artistes performed in 10 groups. As a part of the special attraction, 200 child artistes also took part in the inauguration of the festival.
