Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said the contribution of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will be remembered forever.
The Speaker stated this on Thursday at a programme as the chief guest, organized by the Women and Children Affairs Ministry marking the 89th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib in city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).
Shirin urged all to follow the ideology of Bangamata in their life.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira chaired the programme while Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki and Jatiya Mahila Sangstha Chairman Prof Momtaj Begum took part in it.
Women and Children Affairs Secretary Kamrun Nahar gave the welcome speech on the occasion.
