Minister for Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor called upon the young leadership being imbued with the ideologies of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to be more self-restrained.
Referring to Bangabandhu’s speech at the Awami League national council of 1974, the minister said that in his speech, Bangabandhu called upon the young generation to practice self-criticism, self-restrained and self-purification.
Asaduzzaman Noor said, “Young generation of today who are imbued with the ideologies of Bangabandhu should be self-restrained and dedicate themselves in the development process of the country through self-purification.”
The minister said this on Monday while speaking at a lecture session on the book ‘Unfinished memoirs of Bangabandhu’ at Milon Hall of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib
Medical University (BSMMU) in the city. As part of the 40-day programme commemorating the 40th anniversary of martyrdom of Bangabandhu, BSMMU organised the programme with its vice-chancellor Prof Dr Quamrul Hasan Khan in the chair.
Architect Poet Rabiul Hussain, eminent cultural personality Pijush Banerjee, pro vice-chancellor of BSMMU (Education) Prof Dr Md Ruhul Amin Miah and pro- vice-chancellor (Research and Development) Prof Dr Md Shahidullah Shikdar were the discussants, among others.
