Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB), for the first time since its inception, has hung the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the “DCAB Lounge.”
In its first meeting on Thursday, the newly elected DCAB Executive Committee, led by its President Rezaul Karim Lotus and General Secretary AKM Moinuddin, unanimously took the decision to hang the portrait of Bangabandhu inside the “DCAB Lounge”.
The meeting, chaired by the DCAB President, also decided to visit Dhanmondi 32 on Friday morning to pay tribute to Bangabandhu.
Earlier, DCAB EC members stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Father of the Nation, the architect of the Independent Bangladesh, his family members, Liberation War martyrs and the Freedom Fighters.
The EC of DCAB, founded on March 16, 1998, also paid deep respect to the DCAB family members who passed away last year.
