‘Bangabandhu’s killers must be brought back’

Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah has said the absconding killers of Bangabandhu must be brought back home.
“The nation will become free from the decades-old stigma through executing the capital punishments of the killers of Bangabandhu as per court verdict,” Kalimullah said this while addressing a human chain at Parker intersection near the campus on Sunday as the chief guest.
The BRUR unit of BCL organised the human chain followed by submitting memorandum as a part of month-long observance programmes of the National Mourning Day-2017 and 42nd martyrdom anniversary of the Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Presided over by President of BRUR unit of BCL Abu Monnaf Al Kibria Tushar, its General Secretary Kamrul Hassan Nobel moderated the programme participated by hundreds of leaders and activists of BCL and common students of the university.
Proctor of the university Dr Abu Kalam Md Farid Ul Islam, Associate Professor of the Department of Bengali Dr Parimal Chandra Barman, Associate Professor Dr Shafikur Rahman, Assistant Proctor Dr Md Ruhul Amin, Assistant Professor Ara Tanziya and Lecturer Zobayer Ibne Taher, among others, were present in the human chain.
