Bangabandhu’s birthday observed

The 98th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the national children day in the district was observed on Friday with due respect, honour.
Kishoreganj District Administration, ruling Awami League, Jasad, NAP, Ganatantree Party, Gonofrom and many socio-cultural organisations arranged chalked out various programmes marking the day.
Kishoreganj District Administration organised a colourfull rally, discussion, pestering, Art competition among the children, milad-mahfil, cake cutting, blood donation, documentary films on Bangabandhu and cultural function marking the day.
A discussion meeting was held at local Art Council hall on Friday morning with children Sharmin Ahamed Shahitee in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas attended as chief guest. It was addressed among others ADC (General) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Additional Police Super (Crime) Mohamudul Islam, Civil Surgeon Habibur Rahman, Dist. Awami League Secretary Advocate M.A. Afzal, Ganatantree Party District President Advocate Dholon Bhowhmik, Women Leader Bilkis Begum, CAB Secretary Monowar Hossion Rony, Headaster Khaleda Islam, Freedom Fighter Unit Commander Al-Hajj Asadullah, Principal Professor Rafiqul Islam and Sadar UNO Abdullah-al-Masud.
A colourfull rally brought out in the town led by D.C Md. Azimuddin Biswas.
Narsingdi Correspondent adds: The 98th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day was observed in Narsingdi district with due respect and festivity.
To mark the day, district administration chalked out elaborate programmes including rally ,discussion meeting, cultural function, essay and drawing competition for the children and special prayers
A large rally led by Deputy Commissioner Dr Shubash Chandra Biswas paraded from Deputy Commissioner’s office premises to Shilpakala Academy.
After the rally people from all walks of life placed wreaths at the portrait of Banghabandhu at local Muktijuddah complex in the town.
Then a discussion meeting was held under the auspice of district administration at local Shilpakala Academy. Deputy Commissioner Narsingdi Dr Shubash Chandra Biswas addressed the discussion as chief guest with Arban Tahsin (a child of Shishu academy) in the chair.
 Police Super Narsingdi Amena Begum BPM, Civil Surgeon Sultana Razia, Chief Executive Of zilla Parishad Siddiqur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) ANM Faizul Hoque, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue, Education & ICT) Mahbub Hasan Shain, Additional District Magistrate Mozzamal Hoque, Former Principals of Narsingdi Government College Professor Surja Kantha Das, District Muktijuddah Comondar Abdul Motaleb Pathen and President of Narsingdi Press club Morshed Shahariar among others addressed
The Deputy Commissioner paid great tribute to the Father of the Nation and called upon the children to build up themselves as honest citizen of the country for materializing the dream of the Bangabandhu ‘Sonar Bangla’. He said father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman first envisaged country’s independence and shaped his dream as well through life long struggle.

He established National Child Day for the welfare of the children.. He also said the ideology of Bangabundhu could not be erased by killing him as he would remain alive in the heart in the people of Bangladesh forever.
