BSS, Dhaka :Valiant freedom fighter, close associate of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and President of Bangabandhu Sainik League Bazlur Rahman died early yesterday in the capital at the age of 70. Family sources told BSS yesterday that Bazlur Rahman had fall sick all on a sudden at his Lalmatia residence and died on the way to Samarita Hospital at 2.15am. He is survived by a son, a daughter, wife and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited his residence at Lalmatia in Mohammadpur at 9.30 yesterday morning after hearing the death news of Bazlur Rahman, who was also a former liaison officer of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister also stayed at his residence for an hour to convey her sympathy to the bereaved family members. A doa-mahfil will also be held commemorating of Bazlur Rahman at Lalmatia Girls School after Asr prayer on October 24 (Friday).
