Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Tuesday said Bangabandhu’s 7th March speech was the best in the world and it has been proved on Tuesday.
“We had belief that this (Bangabandhu’s) speech would achieve international recognition one day and it was our expectation for long,” he said.
The minister said this at his ministry office while expressing his reaction over recognition of the historic 7th March Speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by UNESCO as part of the world’s documentary heritage.
The Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, announced the decision on Monday at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
