‘Bangabandhu and Swadhinata Book Fair’ begins in the port city starting from Thursday (December 30) at the premises of Chittagong District Shilpakala Academy on the initiative of National Implementation Committee to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The four-day fair will run till January 2.
The book fair will remain open every day from 3 pm to 9 pm.Chittagong District Administration Staff Officer Piyush Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the matter on Wednesday last.He said Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman will be the chief guest at the inauguration and closing ceremonies of the fair.
