Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the source of inspiration to the Bangalee nation.
“In the way Bangabandhu devoted his life for people’s welfare having a simple lifestyle during his stay at Kolkata Baker Hostel and dreamt of establishing rights of Bangalees encourages us,” he said.
Nasim said these on Tuesday while talking to journalists after paying tributes to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at his sculpture at Baker Hostel in Kolkata, India.
He said Bangabandhu became the change-maker of fortunes of Bangalee nation through his extraordinary and farsighted leadership quality.
He also said the seeds of Bangalee nation’s dream of independence were sowed at Baker Hostel.
“Life and work of Bangabandhu inspires us,” he said.
