Bangabandhu inspired for independence with write ups of Manik Mia: Speakers

The 48th death anniversary of the legendary and founder editor of the Daily Ittefaq Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia was observed at Chittagong Circuit House Conference Hall with President of Swadhin Sangbadpatra Patak Samity SM Jamaluddin in the chair recently.
 Deputy Commissioner Md.Zillur Rahman Chowdhury graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
 Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury was the moderator and inaugurator of it.
Among others, General Secretary of Chittagong Editors council Mainuddin Quaderi Showkat, Bureau Chief of the Ittefaq Salahuddin Reza, journalist Kiron Sharma, writer and researcher Fazlul Gani Mahmud, journalist Nazimuddin, Dr Chandan Dutta, Sufi Sirajdowlla participated the anniversary programmes as discussants.
The chief guest in his brief deliverations said Manik Mia was the bright star of the newspaper industry and objective journalism in the subcontinent. He said Daily Ittefaq was the main spokesman of the liberation movement .
 President of the Patak Samity SM Jamaluddin in his brief deliberations mentioned that the legendary politician of the sub continent Hossain Shahid Shurawardy , Bangabandu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia were the supplementary forces of each other and the Dainik Ittefaq serves the purpose of independence of Bangladesh .
He said Manik Mia was believer of progressive and non-communal politics since his journalism profession .
Bureau chief of Ittefaq Salahuddin Reza in his brief deliveration said Manik Mia was the dreamer of Independent Bangladesh.
