Although it started functioning as a charitable hospital in 1982, the hospital was built in 2016 at the Iqbal Park Union Health Complex in Hajir Hat, Boalkhali Upazila on the initiative of a former Member of Parliament. Although 33 people were working in different posts including doctors at the time of establishment, at present it is 5 employees due to financial crisis.
Chief Medical Officer in charge of the hospital. Md. Lokman told the media that former MP Moin Uddin Khan Badal established the hospital. He named it Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Homoeopathic Hospital. He has also provided financial assistance to the hospital at different times. The hospital has been in financial crisis since he died. He promised to government. But now everything has stopped.
Patients who come for treatment say that the treatment fee in this hospital is low and the doctors are very sincere. Many people are relying on homeopathy for treatment as there are no side effects of the medicine. Many are also getting medical benefits.
