The District level competition of Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournanent-2014 and Banga Mata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament was inaugurated at the play ground of Manikganj Government Debendra College on Tuesday.
Rashida Ferdouse, Deputy Commissioner, Manikganj inaugurated the tournament. The inaugural match was held in between Ghior Upazila vs. Saturia Upazila.
In the tournament of Boys Saturia Upazila defeated Ghior Upazila by 4-3 goals (tri-breaker) and in the Girls tournament SaturiaUpazila also defeated Ghior Upazila by 1-0 goal. Md. Ramjan Ali, Mayor, Manikganj Pourasava, Shahin Ara Begum, District Primary Education Officer ( DPEO) and Nazmul Hasan Lobon, District Sports Officer, Manikganj among others were present in the inaugural tournament.
