Bangabandhu DPL Cricket postponed

The matches of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket have been postponed for one day due to heavy rain.
Earlier, two matches of DPL were abandoned due to inclement weather on Monday.
But all the matches of DPL at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on Tuesday and BKSP Grounds in Savar on the same day have been postponed.
A BCB source said three matches will take place at the SBNCS on regular basis from today if the rain doesn’t wash out the matches. The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM), a sister concern of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), is organizing the league, and BCB is keeping the players in the bio-secure bubble environment as most of the cricketers’ financial matters are involved with this prestigious tournament. The BCB however changed the format of the league with the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind.
Earlier, in the first round matches, Shakib Al Hasan’s Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Tamim Iqbal’s Prime Bank Cricket Club, Mushfiqur Rahim’s Dhaka Abahani Limited and Nurul Hasan Sohan’s Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited registered victories. Mahmudullah Riyad’s Gazi Group Cricketers, Partex Sporting Club, Khelaghor Samaj Kalyan Samity and Shinepukur Cricket Club lost their matches. Brothers Union, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, Legends of Rupganj and Old DOHS shared the points after the rain washed out their clashes.
Shakib, Tamim and Mushfiqur Rahim were awarded Man of the Match prizes respectively after played the key role to the win in their respective club’s games.
