Bangabandhu Cup Int’l Kabaddi from March 19

The Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament will begin from March 19 in Dhaka city. The kabaddi meet will come to an end on March 29. A total of eight teams will take part in the forthcoming gala kabaddi meet. They are: Hosts Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Kenya, England, Malaysia, Nepal and Indonesia.
Apart from hosts Bangladesh, The other participating teams will arrive in the capital on March 16 and March 17.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation invited 12 countries to compete in the kabaddi competition. Of them, Argentina will not come as they did not get sponsor to take part in the kabaddi tournament. Poland will not come due to the war between Russia and Ukrain.
It may be mentioned that a number of five countries took part in the first edition of this kabaddi competition, which was held in March to April last year. They are: Hosts Bangladesh, Kanya, Poland, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Bangladesh emerged the champions of that kabaddi meet beating Kenya by 34-28 points in the final.
