Marking the National Mourning Day and the 46th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a “Liberation War and Bangabandhu Corner” has been set up in the library of Titumir Hall of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) paying homage to the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu Corner was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar, Vice-Chancellor of BUET.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET, Prof. Mizanur Rahman, Director of Students’ Welfare, Prof. Dr. Jiban Podder, Provost of Titumir Hall, Assistant Provosts, officers and members of the hall were also present on the occasion.
The history of the Great Liberation War has been highlighted in the Bangabandhu Corner with the aim of keeping the unique contribution of Bangabandhu in the creation of an independent sovereign Bangladesh state and the reconstruction of post-independence Bangladesh to our generation.
