Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee on Saturday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Ekushey award winning journalist, noted cultural personality and veteran freedom fighter Kamal Lohani.
In a condolence message on Saturday, committee Chairman National Professor Rafiqul Islam said Kamal Lohani had a colorful career dedicated to the service of the motherland in the spirit of the War of Liberation.
“He was greatly involved with the activities of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Committee. His death at this time is an irreparable loss”, he said.In his condolence message, Chief Coordinator of the National Implementation Committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury said the nation will always remember his contribution as the head of the news department of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the Liberation War.
