Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee is going to observe the National Mourning Day 2020 and martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Side by side, the committee will also observe the birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and martyr freedom fighter Sheikh Kamal.
The committee took the decision at a virtual meeting on Wednesday afternoon, said a press release.
Chairman of the national implementation committee National Professor Rafiqul Islam presided over the meeting while Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury highlighted on various issues, including making special discussion and cultural programmes for broadcasting television channels, online media and social media.
Members of the committee took part in the meeting through the online app ‘Zoom’.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Law Minister Anisul Huq, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Former Finance Minister AMA Muhith, eminent politician and cultural personality Asaduzzaman Noor, State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Begum Fazilatunnesa Indira and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, among others, took part in the discussion.
