The ‘Bangabandhu-Bapu Digital Exhibition’ was inaugurated for
public viewing at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on September 25. Education Minister Dipu Moni attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest while State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid and Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami were also present as guests of honour at the programme,
a press release from the High Commission of India in Dhaka said. Indian High Commission, in association with the Cultural Affairs Ministry and Shilpakala Academy,
is hosting the exhibition and will remain open for all from September 26 to till October 11, the release said. The exhibition, uniquely and thematically, celebrates the life and legacy
of the Fathers of each of the two Nations, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Mahatma Gandhi. The exhibition was specially curated by the two governments to commemorate Mujib Borsho and
to mark 150 years of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as the
golden jubilee of India-Bangladesh bilateral relations, it also said.
The exhibition was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 16, 2020, during the India-Bangladesh Virtual Summit. The exhibition includes unique and customised technological features to make the experience more immersive.
After October 11, the exhibition will also be displayed at Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna and Kolkata.
