Faizunnessa Government Primary School of Chittagong Division booked their last semis berth in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament beating Dakkhin Shilmondir Government Primary School of Dhaka Division by 4-3 in the final round opening match held on Sunday at the Dhaka University Central ground.
In the day’s other match, Palichora Government Primary School of Rangpur Division moved into the semifinals of the Bangamata Gold Cup Primary School Football tournament eliminating Syed Arjumondo Government Primary School by 3-2 goals in the inaugural final round match held at the same venue.
The match finished at 2-2 at the end of the stipulated time and Palichora sealed the victory scoring a goal during the extra time of the match.
Earlier, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman formally inaugurated the final round of the competition as the chief guest.
