The number of Covid vaccination centers is increasing in the commercial capital Chittagong. The Chittagong Port Hospital has been listed by the government as a vaccine center for Covid patients.
The government delegation has already inspected the immunization facilities at Chittagong Port Hospital and the necessary training has been completed for the doctors and nurses involved in immunization management. Vaccination will be conducted on a trial basis at Bandar Hospital yesterday (April 11) and there are plans to officially start vaccination program at Chittagong Port Hospital from today. From now on, the citizens who want to get vaccinated at Bandar Hospital will be able to complete their registration in the security apps or software. So far, Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Chittagong General Hospital in Anderkilla, CCC General Hospital and a few other covid vaccination centers had the opportunity to select.
With the introduction of new vaccination centers, the crowds at the old vaccination centers will decrease. Port Secretary Omar Farooq told media that the port hospital is the new vaccination center after the port authorities sent a letter to the government’s health department.
If it is introduced, the port officials and employees will benefit the locals. Registration assistance is being provided for the employees of Chittagong Port in Room 111 of the Port Hospital, said the Port Secretary.
