All the tourist spots, residential hotels, motels and resorts in Bandarban have been reopened on Friday after a long five-month shutdown due to Coronavirus.
In a meeting of the district administration on Thursday, the administration allowed the opening of tourist spots, hotels and motels and restaurants in accordance with the decision of all.
Bandarban ADC Shamim Hossain said that a sector-based meeting was held on Friday to open a tourist center and hotel-motel restaurant. Strict instructions have been given to open tourist spots there and all concerned including tourists to follow the hygiene rules.
DC Daudul Islam made the announcement at a meeting with tourism-related businessmen at the DC office on Thursday. Mayor of Bandarban Municipality Islam Baby, Additional SP Reza Sarwar, President of Residential Hotel-Motel Owners Association Amal Kanti Das, General Secretary Sirajul Islam, General Secretary of Tourist Transport Owners Association Nasirul Alam and other concerned businessmen were present at the meeting.
