For the third consecutive year, Channel i organised the annual Band Fest.
The youth is the target audience for this occasion. The opening ceremony started on Thursday.
Ayub Bachchu, the leading man of the band LRB, Ashraful Haq, the director of Edison Group, Syed Nurul Islam, the CEO of Well Food, Fakir Alamgir, Kazi Habul, Omar Khaled Rumi, Tipu, and Bappa Mazumdar were present. During the programme Faridur Reza Sagar handed over a cheque of Tk1 lakh to Anisul Haq’s foundation, that would help local aspiring artists.
Mayor of North Dhaka City Corporation, Anisul Haq, managing director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagar, director, and head of news of Channel i Shaikh Siraj, director Zahir Uddin Mahmud Mamun, and Mukit Majumdar Babu were some of the noticeable guests during the event.
Through out the day, bands like Uchcharon, Spondon, Obscure, Black, Teerondaj, Bappa and Friends, Jooler Gaan, Different Touch, Durbin, Mahreen, Topu, Shironaheen, Bangladesh, Metrical, Carnival, The Manager, Torun, Conclusion, Scene, Poraho, Jatra, LRB and 26 other bands performed on stage. Other than that, contestants from two of Channel i’s talent shows, Channel i Sherakantho and Khudegaanraj, performed for the occasion. The event lasted till 5pm.
