To spread the essence of correct band music’s practice among the Bangladeshi youth, a daylong band music festival titled Perky Biscuit-Channel i Band Fest 2015 was held for the second time on the Channel i premises recently. Perky Biscuits is the main patron of the event, which has been powered by Symphony.
A number of 13 prominent band troupes of the country participated in the fest which began at 11:05am and continued till 5:00pm.
The event, produced by Anonna Ruma, was jointly hosted by Opu Mahfuz and Moushumi Barua.
Head of News and Director of Channel i Shaykh Siraj, band music legend Ayub Bacchu, national sales manager of Quantum Corporation Ltd Md Zakirul Alam, Edison Group deputy director of corporate affairs Major Abdul Malek Meyazi and lead singer of band group Bangladesh Omar Khaled Rumi, Bappa Mazumdar, Hasan, Konok, among others, were present and took part in the festival.
Regarding the event, Ayub Bacchu said, “If we all come together for working towards further development for the band music of Bangladesh, I believe that its awareness and presence will reach globally.”
For the second band fest, band groups such as Uccharon, Obscure, Prometheus, Ark, Bappa & Friends, Teerondaz, Black, Joler Gaan, Bangladesh, The Brotherhood Project, Pipilika, Metrical and LRB participated the festival.
