Chhatra Union and Chhatra Front, city units of Chittagong staged demonstration and protest rally to protest the Shibir attack on two Chittagong University teachers bus on Wednesday morning.
A joint protest procession paraded from Cheragi Pahar to Chittagong Press Club Square on Thursday evening demanding prohibition of student politics of chatra shibir in all universities of Bangladesh including CU.
President of Chhatra Front city unit Al Quaderi Joy presided the procession. The speakers in the demonstration at Press club square said Shibirmen are damaging the academic environment in CU and they are enforced bomb attack on teachers aimed at keeping their domination in CU campus.
Following the violence and anarchy of Chhatra Shibir since long, university authority not taking any punitive actions against them . The students also demanded prohibition of shibir politics in all universities of the country and called for joint movement against the Chatra Shibir.
