Bakhtiar Rana, Deputy Chief News Editor and Anup Khastagir, Special Correspondent, were reelected President and Secretary of BSS Journalists Welfare Association (BJWA).
The election was held at the triennial conference of the association at Jatiya Pres Club on Saturday.
Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad attended the function as the chief guest.
Members of the association Enamul Haque, Fazlul Haque, Ashequn Nabi Chowdhury, Ashraful Haq Jewel, Shahnaj Siddiqui Soma, Mujibur Rahman Jitu, Shahidul Islam Rana and Sajjad Hossain Sabuj, among others, took part in the discussion on the secretary’s report in the first session.
Chief News Editor of Bangla Service Halim Azad presided over the second session of the conference where new officer-bearers were elected.
The meeting decided to constitute a committee for taking a housing project for members of the association.
