The hanging body of a construction worker was recovered in Bajitpur upazila of Kishoreganj after receiving a threat from a creditor to repay the loan. Police recovered the body from a tree in Narkhalpar area of Dighirpar union of the upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ajman Miah (32), son of Md. Jamir Ali of Tengahati Mohammadpur village in Bajitpur upazila. Locals and family members claimed that Ajman was killed and hanged from a tree. Creditors may have links to the killing.
Ajman has been working as a construction worker for several years.
He also works as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. Humayun Mia and Anar Mia of Sovarampur village in Digirpar union were jointly conducting financial loan activities.
