A Dhaka court on Thursday rejected the bail petition of Humayun Sultan, son of former lawmaker Khan Tipu Sultan, in Dr Shamarukh Mahajabin Shyama killing case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Anwar Sadat passed the order.
Earlier on November 13, Humayun was arrested on charge of killing his wife Dr. Shamarukh.
Police arrested him as soon as the case was filed. He was produced in court on Sunday and sent him to three days’ remand in police custody. Shyama, the only daughter of retired PWD Engineer Nurul Islam, got married to Humayun, the eldest son of former Monirampur MP Sultan two years ago.
