A Dhaka court on Tuesday refused bail to BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in a subversion case filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station in the city.
Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah of Dhaka’s Metropolitan Sessions’ Judge’s Court rejected the bail petition filed by Rizvi’s lawyer Joynul Abedin Mezbah. Earlier, on May 19, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka had rejected his bail in this case. RAB arrested Rizvi from a Gulshan house late at night on January 30.
The case was with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police
Station for vandalism, arson attack and for obstructing police while they were performing their duties on January 18 this year.
