The bail petition of Jamaat City Ameer and former lawmaker Shamsul Islam has been rejected by the court in Chittagong on Thursday .
At the same time, court also rejected remand prayer of police but order to quizzing him at the jail gate for two days. Ameer of City Jamaat was arrested from the Chittagong central jail gate after his release on bail Wednesday morning .
After his arrest , he was brought to District police office . Senior Jail Super Sagir Miah told that Jamaat Ameer was released from jail Wednesday morning as per bail in his last suit which was apprised to the law enforcing agencies accordingly.
District Super of Police AKM Hafizuddin told that though Jamaat Leader Shamsul Islam was released on bail from jail but he was shown arrest in another case filed before the Lohagara thana for vandalizing the Lohagara thana and torching the petrol pump if chunati in Lohargara upazila before the last national parliament election .
Lohagara thana filed two separate cases against Jamaat leader and 20 others in the vandalizing and torching case. In this case, Jamaat leader was arrested from jail gate again after his release for jail custody on Wednesday . Lohagara thana police prayed for 20 days police remand of the Jamaat leader which rejected by court rather allowed to quiz him at jail gate.
Mentionable that former lawmaker Shamsul Islam alongwith 21 others were arrested from city Jamaat office from a meeting on May 12 last from city jamaat office while presiding the party meeting. In this case , Jamaat Ameer was granted bail on Wednesday and again was detained from jail gate with the case of Lohagara thana, sources said.
