Bagerhat youths convicted for beating Red Crescent members

A mobile court conducted by Mohammad Mosabberul Islam, Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Sadar in Bagerha district convicted 2 youths for beating 2 members of Bagerhat Jubo Red Crescent who were discharging their duties as the volunteers in the anti-corona virus inoculation centre in Bagerhat Sadar Hospital on Saturday morning. The youths were given one month imprisonment.
Convicted youths are Ali Hossain, son of one Malek Howladar of village Bhadrapara under Bagerhat Sadar Upozila and Md. Ekram Faraji, son of one Ashraf Faraji of the same village.
On the day at 11 am while the inoculation work was going on full swing in Bagerhat Sadar Hospital, those 2 convicted youths entered the centre forcibly and violating the serial and directed all the concerned persons to inoculate them the anti-corona vaccine.
 Then Ratul Kumar Shil (19) and Zilani Shaikh (16), two members of Bagerhat Jubo Red Crescent Society tried to resist them (those youths) and requested them to maintain the procedures.
Then they (convicted persons) became furious and beat the volunteers severely. As a result, both the volunteers were injured. Later, they were admitted to the Hospital for their treatment.
On information Mohammad Moabasserul Islam, Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Bagerhat Sadar appeared on the spot and set a Mobile Court (there) and awarded the 2 youths the aforesaid punishment.
