UNB, Khulna :
The accountant of Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex was shot by some unidentified miscreants at Singati village in Fakirhat upazila on Monday night.
The victim was identified as Ashim Kumar Chakrabarti, 55, of the village.
Quoting family members, Fakirhat Police Station Officer-in-charge Abu Zahid said the miscreants shot Ashim while he was returning home from his office around 8 pm, leaving him injured.
Later, his family members took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH). Ashim was out of danger thought he sustained bullets in his abdomen, said Dr Rafiqul Islam Gazi, Medical officer of KMCH.
