Bagerhat district town and it’s all the nine upazilas as elsewhere of the country have been experiencing heavy and incessant rains since Sunday morning. As a result, the normal life of the people has been paralyzed.
A good number of shops of the district town remained closed till the writing of this report. Roads were empty as transportations couldn’t be found.
On the other hand, many low lying areas of the district town went under water due to the poor drainage system.
Due to the nonstop rain fall, the supply of the daily necessities, particularly vegetables has fallen short and consequently, their price has gone out of the reach of the commoners.
On the other hand, almost all the day labours were thrown out of their jobs. They have been suffering a lot of inconveniences.
