Mohammad Azizur Rahman, DC, Bagerhat distributed food-stuff (free of cost) among 50 sportsmen and sports organizers of the district who are financially hard-up due to corona pandemic in a ceremony held in the local Sheikh Helal Uddin Stadium on Tuesday.
At that time Bagerhat Poura Mayor Khan Habibur Rahman who is the President of Bagerhat District Sports Association (BDSA), Khondokar Rezaul Karim, ADC, Bagerhat, Sardar Nasir Uddin, Chairman Upazila Parishad, Bagerhat Sadar, Mohammad Mosabberul Islam, UNO (Upazila Nirbahi Officer), Bagerhat Sadar, Haidar Ali Babu, Vice-president of BDSA, Sardar Omar Faruq, Secretary of then same and others were present.
Another report states that with the initiative of Mohammad Azizur Rahman, DC, Bagerhat food-stuff was distributed among more than 300 bus labours (including drivers, helpers and other concerned) who were thrown out jobs following the country wide lockdown in a function held in the office room Bagerhat Inter-district bus terminal on Thursday.
On the occasion DC told, we are distributing food-stuff free of cost so that those people who lost their jobs due to country-wide lock down cannot suffer for want of food.
The DC added, sufficient quantify of food is stock in our hands to meet up the crisis and we will supply the food every needy person of the district and this will continue until the corona pandemic is subsided.
In the food-stuff distributing ceremony Sardar Nasir Uddin, Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad, Bagerhat, Moahammad Mosabbedrul Islam, UNO (Upazila Nirbahi Officer), Bagerhat Sadar, Razia Parveen, Woman Vice-chairman of Sadar Upoazila Parishad, Al-haj Talukdar Abdul Baki, General Secretary of Bagerhat District Bus Owners’ Association and General Secretary of Bagerhat Press Club, Rezaur Rahman Mantu, President of Bagerhat district Sramik League and President of Bagerhat District Bus Labours’ Union, Poura Commissioner Roni and some others were present.
