Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and Bangladesh Open University (BOU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to boost education for the Airmen of Bangladesh Air force.
Director of Education Group Captain Kazi Abdul Moyeen and Registar Prof Dr Abul Hossain Ahmed Bhuiyan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at the Air Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment.
BOU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M A Mannan, Pro-vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain as well as Deans, Joint Director, IPRD Md. Abul Kasem Shikder and Air Vice Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, NDU, PSC were present on the occasion.
The signing of the MoU will extend the opportunity for recruit/trainee Airmen of Air Force to undergo HSC curricula alongside the Military training.
Bangladesh Air Force has undertaken this education programme to develop the human resources as a part of its overall modernisation plan. This programme will encourage Airmen to pursue higher education as well as to prepare themselves to undertake the challenges of the 21st century.
Remodeling of Airmen’s education system is expected to contribute positively towards the overall development of Bangladesh Air Force and the nation.
