Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation assistance to civil power to resist coronavirus since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As a part of its continuous assistance, BAF helicopter AW-139 air lifted post Covid-19 pneumonia infected patient Dental Surgeon of Rangpur Medical College Hospital Dr. Abdul Wahab from Mymensingh to Dhaka in a critical condition on Tuesday, said an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) press release.
Dr Wahab was undergoing treatment at ICU of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the release said, adding that later, he was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, Dhaka for better treatment.
In line with this, the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force provided necessary guidance to carry out the medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission.
