Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) contingent on Tuesday flew to Haiti to replace an existing detachment there as part of UN peacekeeping mission in the country.
A total 110 member contingents was led by Group Captain M Khair-ul-Afsar, PSC, an ISPR statement said on Tuesday.
The statement said a special munajat was offered at BAF Base Bashar at Dhaka Cantonment seeking excellence of the contingents in the missions in future.
An UN-chartered aircraft carried them to Haiti, where they would join the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), added the press release.
It said senior BAF officials saw the contingent off at the Hazrat Shahjahal International Airport (HSIA).
