A six-day Annual Winter Exercise “Wintex-2014” of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) started at all Air Force Bases across the country including Sylhet, Lalmonirhat and Barisal on Wednesday.
The main objective of the exercise is to assess and evaluate the operational capability of the Bangladesh Air Force. It is also to identify the weakness and depict required knowledge for further perfection, an official release said.
All types of BAF fighter aircrafts, transport aircrafts, helicopters and radar squadrons including all BAF personnel will take part in the exercise. As part of the exercise, the pilots of BAF fighter aircrafts and helicopters will carry out Air to Ground live firing at Rasulpur Firing Range and practice various aerial tactics including night attack and interception by the fighter aircraft.
